Not every conversation makes the cut. This is where you tell your story.
Hunt for Success is built on the quality of its conversations. We review every application personally — and we only move forward when we believe the conversation will be something the listener and the guest both walk away from differently.
Start Your ApplicationThe process.
No black holes. No vague timelines. We respect your time.
Apply to Join the Conversation
Fill out the application below. Be specific — vague answers don't move forward. Tell us what you've built, how you live, and what you'd bring to the conversation.
TODAYWe Review It
Sam and the production team read every application. We're looking for a genuine story, a real outdoor pursuit, and a perspective the listener can't get anywhere else.
WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYSYou Hear Back
If it's a fit, we reach out to schedule a pre-interview call. If it isn't, we tell you that too — with a real reason, not a form rejection.
EITHER WAYWe record approximately 2–4 episodes per month. If your application is strong but timing isn't right, we keep it on file for future seasons. We don't lose good applicants to a full calendar.
We're not looking for the most successful person in the room.
We're looking for the most honest one. The guest who built something real, lives a life that reflects their values, and can talk about both without a PR filter. The show's audience is sophisticated — they'll know the difference immediately.
We've turned down people with bigger platforms than our current guests because the conversation wouldn't have been honest. We've accepted people with no following at all because the story was exactly right. Platform is not the criteria. Substance is.
"We don't care how many followers you have. We care what you've built and how you've lived."
You've built something real.
A business, a career, a portfolio — something with real stakes, real decisions, and real consequences. We're not looking for people who are building. We're looking for people who have built.
You have an active outdoor pursuit.
Hunting, fishing, ranching, backcountry — something that takes you away from a screen and into terrain that requires the same discipline as building a business. This is not negotiable and it is not decoration.
You have a perspective worth sharing.
Not a framework you read in a book. Not advice you give at conferences. Something you learned the hard way, in a situation where you had real skin in the game.
You can be honest about what it cost.
The guests who resonate most on this show are the ones who can talk about what they got wrong, what they gave up, and what they'd do differently. If your story only has highlights, it's not ready for this show yet.
Make your case.
Be specific. Vague answers don't move forward — not because we're being difficult, but because a vague application is usually a sign of a vague story. The guests who do best on this show are the ones who know exactly what they've built, why it matters, and what they want the listener to walk away with.
Take your time with this. A strong application takes 10 minutes. A weak one takes 2. We can tell the difference.
Your application is read only by Sam and the Hunt for Success production team. We don't share your information with third parties or add you to any mailing list without your permission.
"The right application doesn't try to impress. It tries to be honest."
The people already in the room.
Every person on this wall applied. Every one of them had a story worth telling.
