The Wall

Every conversation starts with a story.

These are not people who talk about success. They built it, in business, in the field, and in how they chose to live. Every one of them sat down with Sam McGough for a full conversation.

Brian McNally, Exited Founder and Executive Coach, guest on The Hunt for Success Latest guest
Episode 21

Brian McNally

Exited Founder and Executive Coach

He grew up doing archery in Pennsylvania, not far from the Poconos, got out of it entirely, and now has the hankering back, partly because his oldest is not the only kid discovering that a bow is quiet. These days he is on a lake near Tampa with a dock he finally built, catching bass while his son hauls twenty inch mud suckers out of the mud, and he is angling for a run offshore on the Gulf. He also started jujitsu just before turning forty and took his first MMA fight at forty three.

Episode 20

Ben Jordan

Trades Entrepreneur and Coach

He grew up elk hunting in Colorado with his dad and uncles, packing horses four or five miles deep to an old army tent with a wood stove, and he still prefers roughing it in a wall tent to the amenities of an RV. Deer he can mostly take or leave, though his brother John talked him into Kansas whitetail ground, food plots, cameras, and a skinning shack. He has taken his great aunt to New Zealand, Africa, and this year Alaska, on a promise he made her at eleven years old.

Episode 19

Ken Wall

Fitness Coach And Author, Hunting Beyond Limits

Pennsylvania whitetail mostly, with fall turkey and archery bear overlapping if the calendar cooperates. He was his father's bird dog before he was old enough to carry a gun, got into archery in 2008, and has taken two fall gobblers out of a deer stand on the logic that it was slow and worth trying. He has also passed on shots he could have made, because a tag ends the season and he wants more mornings in the tree.

Carl Gould, Business Growth Advisor and Author, guest on The Hunt for Success Latest guest
Episode 18

Carl Gould

Business Growth Advisor and Author, 7 Stage Advisors

His father fished offshore out of New Jersey and had him steering the boat at seven, running the Ambrose Channel water and the canyons sixty to a hundred miles out for stripers, bluefish, and tuna. He still fishes, his son is a freshwater guy, and a dove hunt in Texas with a dozen people a couple of years ago went down well enough that Sam spent the last few minutes of the episode trying to get him on a helicopter over a pig population.

A professional hunter's son who quit at thirteen for surfboards and motorbikes and got it all back at thirty in a country where a rifle is not a luxury.
